The UChicago Central Asian Studies Society is proud to organize Chicago's first Central Eurasian Music Festival. On Saturday, April 18, from 4:00–6:00 PM, see Chicago-based artists rooted in Central Eurasian traditions—from Mongolian höömij (overtone singing) to Tibetan gorshey (circle dancing)—perform in the beautiful Rockefeller Memorial Chapel on the University of Chicago campus. Alash, three masters of Tuvan music who sold out the Ida Noyes Hall Theater last November, will play at 7:00 PM.
Cost per ticket: $48 for general admission, $24 for students and youth (ages 6-17)
Complimentary for children 5 years old and younger
